Sep. 30th: A perfect fall day as we finish the planned portion of the trip. Now we head back west, hoping to catch some playoff games on the way.

Sep. 28th: Aya's continues to bring bad luck to Japanese pitchers as Hideo Nomo loses to his former team, the Detroit Tigers, 4-1. We have seen Nomo twice and Ohka twice, and they have lost every game.

Sep. 25th: The cold continues in Cleveland but the Tribe score 5 in the 8th to beat the Blue Jays 11-7 in a very long game.

Sep. 24th: The fall weather hits Cleveland with a vengeance but we brave the cold and rain to watch the Blue Jays upset the Tribe 3-2 in 11 innings. A great game to celebrate our 30th and final major league stadium on the trip. We still have 3 games left to watch before the playoffs begin.

Roberto Alomar homers to tie the game in the 9th

Sep. 23rd: Our non-baseball weekend concludes with the Cleveland Browns defeating the Detroit Lions 24-14 as the NFL returns to action.

Tim Couch drops back to pass

Sep. 22nd: We join Andrew and Peter again, this time for an NHL exhibition game in Buffalo. We even walk around Dunn Tire Park, adding to our total of minor league parks. Thanks guys!

Faceoff in Buffalo

Sep. 21st: We visit the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. An amazing collection of memorabilia and a great way to spend the day.

Sep. 19th: The Jays continue their winning ways with a 4-1 victory over the hapless Orioles. Tomorrow we drive to Cooperstown.

Sep. 18th: We return to baseball and watch the Blue Jays win 8-5 over the Orioles. Seven home runs, including one by Cal Ripken, highlight an exciting game. Thanks for Andrew and Peter for driving up from Buffalo as well - check out their amazing road trip at www.thesportsroadtrip.com.

American flags were given to all fans

Sep. 15th: MLB has postponed six days worth of games due to the tragedy, but action will resume on Monday, September 17 as we all try to return to a normal life. Our trip will also resume that day as we move on to Toronto.

Sep. 11th: The horrific terrorist attacks in New York have changed the complexion of our trip from carefree fun to somber reflection. We mourn with everyone across the world for the victims of this unspeakable crime and offer our condolences to the families and friends of those who were most affected by this tragedy. For Aya and I, we left New York just last week and we had toured the World Trade Center as well. We are shocked at how quickly things have changed. It is a time for us to count our blessings and we hope and pray that all of our readers are safe today.

Sep. 8th: Aya's bad luck with Japanese pitchers continues as Tomo Ohka loses the game for the Expos who are shutout by Randy Wolf and the Phillies, 6-0. Also, Sharpy returns home after a very quick week - thanks for joining us, dude!

Ohka sleeps during warmups - no wonder he lost!

Sep. 7th: We return to Canada and watch Javier Vasquez dominate the Phillies for 8 innings as the Expos win 4-2 - the Phils lose another game in the standings to the Braves.

Sep. 4th: The Red Sox lose their ninth in a row, falling 8-5 to the AL Central leading Indians. Aya is disappointed as Hideo Nomo loses the game.

Sep. 3rd: The minor-league regular season ends as we watch New Britain pitcher Ken Pumphrey retires the last 25 batters in a row as the Rock Cats get ready for the playoffs with a 5-0 victory over Akron.

Sep. 1st: The Mets win a great game in 11 innings on Jay Payton's RBI double. Sharpy joins the trip as we hit the final month of the baseball season!
