Detroit at Cleveland - NFL

Arriving in Cleveland on Saturday night, we wondered how to spend Sunday. Of course, watching football is the only answer. Fortunately, the Browns were home that day to the Detroit Lions in an inter-conference matchup. We were lucky to get great seats in the upper deck (thanks Don!) and we watched as Cleveland put on a show. RB James Jackson ran for 124 yards, the first Brown in franchise history to do so (the franchise is only 3 years old, and is not related to the previous franchise which moved to Baltimore). Tim Couch was effective, while Detroit's Ty Detmer tossed 7 interceptions, 1 shy of the NFL record. Cleveland won 24-14 on a perfect Sunday afternoon, the last day of summer as it would turn out.
