JULY NEWS
July 31st: Cubs win 7-3 over the Padres as Fred McGriff gets 3 hits. Tomo Ohka traded to Montreal.
July 29th: Congratulations Wai and May!!!!! We wish you many years of happiness!

July 28th: Los Angeles beats Colorado 10-6 in the afternoon and we drive across town to watch Anaheim knock off Baltimore 6-4 in the evening. Cal Ripken didn't play, much to the disappointment of the Angels' fans.
July 26th: Canadian Eric Gagne pitches 6 fantastic innings but gives up a run in the 7th to cost fans a chance at 6 free donuts. Dodgers win 3-1 over Colorado and are 1/2 game behind Arizona.
July 24th: 100 DAYS ON THE ROAD!!!!! We celebrated by watching the Angels defeat the Devil Rays 9-6.
July 23rd: Tampa Bay Devil Ray owner Vince Naimoli is in attendance as his A affiliate Bakersfield Blaze lose 9-5 to Lancaster.
July 22nd: Former Expo Tim Wallach is ejected in the 8th inning and his Rancho Cucamonga Quakes lose 8-4 to the Mudville Nine in Stockton.
July 21st: Curt Schilling no-hits the Giants for 6 1/3 innings but Armando Rios gets a single to break it up. Arizona wins in a 9-2 romp and Schilling is the majors' first 14-game winner.

July 20th: We stop by Pac Bell Park and watch 4 innings of free baseball from behind the right field fence. What a great place! Ramon Hernandez homers and the Giants win 1-0 over the D-Backs. The NL West heats up!
July 19th: Bottom of the ninth heroics by the Giants! They prevail 2-1 on a bases-loaded walk to Jeff Kent, sending the spiraling Rockies to another loss.
July 16th: After three days of coastal driving, we get media passes and watch Oakland conquer the Rockies 5-1 from the comfort of the press box. Thanks to Akira and Debbie for their help!
July 12th: Barry Bonds becomes the fastest player to 40 home runs but Robb Nen allows a 9th inning homer to David Bell that ties the game and the Giants fall to the Mariners 4-3 in 11 exciting innings.
We also met Dr. Nick Yphantides, who is on a baseball crusade of his own. Here is a picture of Dr. Nick!

July 10th: Cal Ripken Jr. homers and collects the MVP award as the AL wins a classic game 4-1 in Seattle.
July 9th: Luis Gonzalez wins the Home Run Derby, defeating Sammy Sosa 6-2 in the final round. As well, we meet some mascots, including Youppi all the way from Montreal!
