DRIVE 44 - Dallas to Raton, NM

A long drive highlighted by the Capulin Volcano located in northeastern New Mexico, about 35 miles east of Raton. You can drive right up to the top of the volcano and hike around the rim or right down into the cone. The views are spectacular in all directions. As a national monument, you can get in free with a National Parks Pass.
