TACOMA - GAME RECAP
The game that we saw was set to be a pitcher's duel betwen Robert Ramsay, who spent last year with the Mariners, and Dave Zancanaro, who was off to a good start but hadn't yet got his first win. Both teams started the day at 10-4, so it looked like a good game between two good teams.
The first two innings were just that, but in the bottom of the third, Zancanaro had control problems and his teammates made a couple of errors which allowed Tacoma to score 4 runs. Ramsay continued his strong work, for five scoreless innings and three pitchers came in to keep things that way. Although Memphis did score 1 run in the 7th, they never threatened off Jordan Zimmerman in the last two innings, and Tacoma won 4-1.
