STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA

Stockton is located about an hour and a half east of San Francisco and one hour south of Sacramento, in the San Joaquin Valley. Stockton is one of California's two inland seaports, and is connected to San Francisco Bay by a 60-mile long channel.

There wasn't much to see in Stockton, the downtown is pretty small and didn't have anything particularly enticing. Victory Park contains the Higgins Museum and a few other small attractions. Oak Park is home to Billy Hebert Field as well as a skating rink and other recreational facilities.

Stockton is also home to the University of the Pacific, the first chartered university in California and home to the San Francisco 49ers training camp which begins in late July.
