APPLETON - GAME RECAP

There was no game in Appleton due to large amounts of precipitation. In other words, a rain out. But although we were disappointed by Mother Nature's evildoing, we did enjoy watching the Cedar Rapids' players horsing around before the game was called.

As you can see in this picture, two Kernels are having at each other in a boxing match. I don't know where the gloves came from, but it was fun to watch. Other players slid along the tarp, highly annoying the Rattler's groundskeeper who actually asked them to stop it (their cleats could damage the tarp). 

This was supposed to be a day game and as such several hundred school kids were also in attendance. The Kernels players were a big hit with the kids, who were a little down at having the game cancelled but the show put on by the players alleviated some of the disappointment.
