EVERETT MEMORIAL STADIUM

Everett Memorial Stadium is very easy to get to - take exit 192 off I-5 and there it is - at the corner of 38th and Broadway. Most parking is free at the stadium, although there are a couple of small lots that have parking for $5 - these should be avoided. There are two entrances, the one at 38th has some street parking, the one at 39th has a lot.
The ballpark itself is pretty typical - concrete and aluminum, bleachers along the lines, box seats in between the bases. The prices are a bit expensive, especially for Short-Season A ball, with the field level box seats going for $9. We recommend the upper level seats for $7, along the first base side (where the sun is) because from there you can enjoy the beautiful mountain views beyond the fences. The bleacher seats are not that good, especially for $6. There is also lawn seating in the outfield.
Some
interesting features of this park include a large soccer field behind the first
base side which is a perfect place to have a game of catch before the game. As
well, the outside of the stadium has an espresso stand, some carnival games, and
a small picnic area. Take the time to wander around before taking your seat -
you will meet one of the mascots no doubt. As well, buy a program and enter
yourself in some of the contests.
Concessions are located in the back of the seating section, and offer a meal deal which includes chips and a drink. Prices are not that cheap however. Hot dogs were pretty good, and went on sale 2-for-1 in the 7th inning, so you may want to gamble and wait to fill up on cheap dogs.
The most important thing to remember about this park is that it gets very cold after the sun goes down. Dress warmly - it will get chilly and windy very quickly. All of the fans (except me, of course) had several layers of sweaters and coats.

Overall, I enjoyed this park because it is easy to get to, has a lot to see before the game, and has great views of the mountains. The box seats are plentiful and you are close to the game as well. If you are in Seattle, we suggest that you check out if the Aquasox are in town. Remember that the short season league begins in mid-June.
