PRINGLES PARK

Pringles Park is another of the new minor league parks, this one built for the new West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in 2000. Like the potato chips that it is named for (which are famous because they are all exactly the same), this park is very similar to every other new park. It has the kelly green seats, the brown brick foundations, and the typical picnic areas and berms.

Located just off I-40, the park is surrounded by absolutely nothing. This allows for plenty of parking for $2. The seating area is divided into 3 levels, as usual. The lower box seats are $9, the upper box are $8, while general admission are only $5 and recommended. There are no ushers that I could see, so you can sit anywhere. There are $6 club seats as well, but these are a little farther away from the field.
There are two walkways. The lower one separates the lower and upper boxes, while the upper walkway is really the concourse, although it is outside. Along this concourse are the concessions, which are separated into whatever they serve, such as Dugout Dawgs and Grand Slam Pizza. There are a couple of grills that offer freshly cooked dogs and sandwiches, and those are probably better than the regular fare, particularly the fried bologna sandwich at the Chicago Grill.
The dimensions are surprisingly small, only 310 down the left field line, 399 to center, and 320 to right. The walls in left field are somewhat higher than those in center and right, which should cut down on the homers. The scoreboard is in right-center and has one of the nicest screens I have seen, certainly in the minors. There is a pitch speed screen in left-center as well.

Overall, this park really has nothing special to recommend it, other than the location between Nashville and Memphis. Perhaps I am getting jaded, but I would have to say that this is not a park that you need to go out of your way to see. This is not a criticism; I am simply saying that this park is very similar to other parks.
