BOWIE - GAME RECAP
We were lucky enough to see the last 5 innings of Thursday's game that had been suspended with Bowie leading 3-0. Although Erie made it close with 2 runs in the 5th, Bowie added one in their half of the 5th and 2 more in the sixth to take a 6-3 lead which held up through the end of the game.
The second game began at 9:00 with most of the 9,920 fans remaining for the first few innings. This game was only 7 innings, and Erie got out to a quick 2-0 lead in the second on 4 singles. In the third, Bowie scored a run on two singles and a wild pitch, and then they took the lead with two more runs in the fourth. Baysox starter Sonny Garcia was solid through 6 as Bowie looked ready to sweep the doubleheader.
But Erie showed why they are in first place with a 7th-inning rally. With one out and a man on first, Omar Infante hit a single to left that Papy Ndungidi misplayed, allowing a run to score. After a strikeout and an intentional walk, Alejandro Freire singled in the go-ahead run and Garcia was gone. But reliever Aaron Rakers was no better, giving up a 2-run triple to Rich Gomez and an RBI-single to Juan Camilo that made the score 7-3. Terry Pearson closed for the Seawolves who gained the split with a 7-3 victory. This game really wasn't that interesting, and after the previous night's game in Durham, this one had to be a letdown - it gets a 6/10.

The highlight of this game was the appearance of the Blues Brothers, a traveling two-man show that imitates the great movie of 1977. They sang a few songs and really got the audience involved, as well as signing lots of autographs.
