PHOENIX MUNICIPAL STADIUM

The stadium is located in eastern Phoenix, just off Van Buren St, near Papago Park. The spring training home of the Oakland A's, this park is excellent for AFL action. Again, $5 gets you in and you can sit anywhere. The concrete, wavy roof provides plenty of shaded seating, and the seats are pretty comfortable. Again, we didn't try the food, but there seemed to be the usual hot dogs and other fare. The best thing about this park is the view beyond left field, which features the desert hills of Papago Park. Unique among parks we have seen.

There isn't much else to say about this park - if you are in Phoenix in October or November, have a look, it is a really good stadium to watch a game. But that goes for all of these AFL parks - excellent parks at an excellent price.
