MARYVALE BASEBALL PARK

Maryvale Baseball Park is the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers. Located off 51st Avenue in northwestern Phoenix, the first thing we noticed was the large number of handicapped parking spaces, indicating that good crowds come in the spring and the area is probably a retirement community.
The stadium is very nice, with bleacher seats down the lines, and dark blue box seats in between the bases. There is a large press box area behind home plate, and the open-air concourse is partially covered by white steel fencing that acts as a shade provider. Behind home plate is a cactus shape which is the team logo (the team name is Saguaro, which is a type of cactus).
There is plenty of lawn seating behind the fences, but of course, there is no need to use this during AFL games, where the attendance rarely breaks 200.
Like all AFL parks, Maryvale is a great place to watch a game. The seats can be a little dirty due to the dust blowing around, so bring a towel to clean them off, but otherwise, you will enjoy this park.
