SAN JUAN - DESCRIPTION

San Juan is the largest city on the island of Puerto Rico, which is a U.S. possession. The city itself is very similar to an American city in many ways, with large shopping malls, plenty of highways (in better shape than many mainland turnpikes), and your typical American restaurants and hotels. The beaches are beautiful and attract many a sun worshipper. The other main attraction is Old San Juan, a small area of town on a tip of land that retains much of the historical aspects of the area.

The weather seems perfect, perhaps a bit hot, but really nice after a cold winter. There may be an occasional shower, but it never lasts.

Unfortunately, I didn't spend much time in San Juan, other than at the ballpark. But if you are interested in going, you won't be disappointed - an interesting combination of old Puerto Rico and new America.
