PHILADELPHIA - WHERE TO EAT

You are in Philadelphia and wondering what to eat? Shame! The only thing to eat is the Philadelphia Cheese Steak! We found a place that was recommended to us and is close to the stadium. Tony Luke's is at the corner of Front and Oregon Street and serves a wide menu of sandwiches at very reasonable prices.

There are other cheesesteak places as well, and any guidebook will list several of them, but if you are going to a game, why not stop by Tony Luke's beforehand - better than eating at the game, that's for sure.

Of course, there are other places to eat in Philadelphia. In the tourist area, 2nd Street has a number of fashionable eateries, we enjoyed the Sassafras Cafe, but there are plenty of interesting looking places.

As well, the Reading Terminal Market, located between 11th and 12th streets just north of Market, offers a number of sandwich shops and other restaurants. This is a great place to stop for a snack, but it gets very busy at lunch as the workers in the area flock there.
