DESCRIPTION ATTRACTIONS BALLPARK GAME RECAP WHERE TO EAT TRIVIA

HOUSTON - WHERE TO EAT

For those of you wondering where to grab a bite before or after an Astros game, there really aren't that many options around Enron. Like most new downtown stadiums, Enron was built in an area that was in need of revitalization, and as the ballpark is only a year old, there has not been a lot of new development yet.

Ruggles is the name of the restaurant inside the ballpark, the centerfield bar offers beer and other drinks along with a small and reasonably priced menu. Anyone can sit here for no charge once you have entered the stadium. Note that the patio beneath the bar costs $125/seat - if you want the unique experience, buy a $5 ticket and sit at the bar.

Ruggles also has a full-service restaurant along the concourse, but it seemed pretty expensive. Doors open 2 hours before game time and remain open until 1 hour after the game is over. Finally, there is Ruggles Cafe, which offers sandwiches and other snacks. The cafe is attached to the park, but the entrance is outside and is open regular business hours.

Across Texas Avenue from the Home Plate Entrance there is the Home Plate Bar and Grill, which serves up a good burger and has a few TVs for catching the post game highlights.
