SAN FRANCISCO - WHERE TO EAT
This is supposed to be a page that tells you where to find good food in San Francisco. But the city is too big and has too many varied districts, each with its own fantastic eateries. Your best bet is to pick up a dining guide, or surf the net for something that suits your taste.
Around Pac Bell Park, there are a number of new restaurants that are opening up. We didn't try any of them as they were quite crowded on game days, but they looked pretty good.
However, there are two recommendations that we can make: for Spanish-style tapas you should head for the Thirsty Bear Brewing Company on Howard St. Good beers as well as the best dessert on the trip - the lemon cheesecake with blueberry sauce was perfect!
For Italian food, we really enjoyed the Cafe DeLucchi (not related to Arizona right fielder David DeLucci) which is quite small but offers excellent pasta and sauces as well as nice desserts and friendly service. Located at the corner of Stockton and Green Street, on the edge of North Beach, this is a great place for couples.
As well, one place to avoid: House of Nanking in Chinatown - really overrated and not worth your money or time.
