TAMPA BAY - ATTRACTIONS
Tampa Bay is home to Busch Gardens among other large-scale theme parks and animal attractions, but there are a few other smaller places that might be of interest to you.
1. Salvador Dali Museum - The largest collection of Dali's works in the world, this St. Petersburg museum follows his career in chronological order, with each room devoted to a particular period in his life. Although small, the museum allows you to spend a couple of hours learning about Dali in detail. Guided tours are offered, and self-guiding pamphlets are available in several languages. If you are a fan of surrealism, this is worth the $10 admission fee (look for discount coupons in local tourist brochures), but if not, then try one of the other museums.
2. The Pier - Extending from 2nd Avenue in downtown St. Pete, the Pier is a 5-story inverted pyramid that contains an aquarium, mini-golf, and shops and restaurants.
