DETROIT - WHERE TO EAT
There are only a couple of restaurants around the stadium - one is HockeyTown, a sports bar dedicated to the Red Wings, Detroit's favourite team. This place is very busy before and after Tigers games, but if you are willing to wait, you can enjoy typical bar fare. HockeyTown is located across Woodward Avenue from Comerica.

The other restaurant is Johnny Rockets, the hamburger chain that can be found in most big cities nowadays. It is next to HockeyTown, but it too can get busy after the game.
Rather than limit yourself to eating in this area, we suggest you try Greektown, which is where you can find a good number of restaurants, and not all of them are Greek. For those with budgetary concerns, try the Plaka Cafe for decent food and very cheap prices. But most of the eateries here are slightly more upscale and you should be able to find something to fill you up before the game. Monroe Street is the main street of Greektown, which is now quite busy due to the Greektown Casino. You can walk to Comerica from here, or take the monorail if you wish.
