MAJOR LEAGUE CITY RANKINGS

This is a difficult list to put together. Rather than rank on a bunch of different categories, we just went by how we felt when we left the city. Weather played a large part in our experiences, as did restaurants and the ease of getting around.

WE REALLY LIKED

San Diego - Beautiful city with great weather and a good transit system. Would like to live here.
Chicago - So much to do here, not enough time.
San Francisco - Views from all around, and the best restaurants on the trip.
New York - We were there two weeks before the tragedy of September 11, it was the most vibrant city we had seen.
Boston - Enjoyed the Freedom Trail.
Baltimore - The Inner Harbor is right next to Camden Yards.
Phoenix - The Arizona Fall League and great weather make this a super baseball destination.
Pittsburgh - City planners have done a great job here - the driving can be harrowing, though.
Seattle - A pretty city, when it isn't raining.
Toronto - I grew up here, and didn't really appreciate it. Small downtown highlighted by the CN Tower.
Montreal - Old Montreal is one of the most impressive areas on the continent. Like being in Europe.

WE HAD SOME FUN

Denver - Busy downtown and free transit. Great views as well.
Minneapolis - The river area is very nice.
Kansas City - Plenty of cows during our time here, but the downtown is not nice.
Tampa Bay - Lots of baseball in the suburbs.
Philadelphia - Plenty of history - a great walking city

NOTHING SPECIAL

Miami - Just didn't enjoy the atmosphere here.
Los Angeles - Not a good roadtrip city - too much traffic.
Cleveland - A nice city, but it rained the whole time we were there.
Cincinnati - Enjoyed the Taste of Cincinnati, but otherwise not much to talk about.
Milwaukee - Free Beer at Miller Tour.

DISAPPOINTMENTS

Houston - Downtown is not nice, best attraction is far away.
Atlanta - Major attractions were major disappointments.
Dallas - Too spread out for my liking.
Detroit - Not a nice city.
St. Louis - The only place where we felt unsafe.
