2002 NEWS
November 21st, 2002: MLB announces that Seattle and Oakland will open the 2003 season in Tokyo. We will be there, perhaps as the opening to the 2003 International Baseball Road Trip. Tokyo, Toronto, and Puerto Rico, as well as Cincinnati, Houston, and plenty of minor league parks in between. Planning has begun, so keep checking in here for updates.
November 8th, 2002: Sean visits Thailand and continues his sporting roadtrip with a stop at Lumpini Stadium to take in some Muy Thai, or Thai Boxing.

September 15th, 2002: Sean visits Eric and Kerry in Seattle and enjoys the first game in brand new Seahawks Stadium. Sadly, the Seahawks lose but Sean is inspired to begin planning the next great trip: NFL/NHL/NBA 2003-04. Stay tuned for more information over the next few months.
August 31st, 2002: After a season of worry, MLB avoids a strike by reaching a deal at the last minute. Great news and now fans can relax and enjoy the final month of the season. Plans begin for our next trip in 2003!
May 30th-June 30th, 2002: Sean works at the FIFA World Cup 2002™ in Japan. Although not baseball, it was still an incredibly interesting job that included working at the Final between Brazil and Germany. Look for a 2005-2006 European soccer trip in this space 3 years from now.
April 5th-10th, 2002: Sean flies to Los Angeles to watch 3 baseball games and a hockey game. A short but eventful trip, highlighted by Kazuhisa Ishii's first major league start and Sean getting his first foul ball.
